Blackwind padded through the damp and wet forest, his thick, wispy pelt getting damped by pushing his frame through the wet foliage. His blue sights were set on none other than Frost(Made-up Cat), a beautiful she-cat with sleek and silvery fur. The she-cat was padding in front of him, supposedly leading him to a pretty place. But nothing could be more pretty than she. Blackwind's gaze followed her sleek tail tip, his own tail flicking. The pretty feline soon turned to face the black tom-cat. Her frosty green gaze met his own Lapis blue one, and she smiled gracefully, "Blackwind..." Blackwind flicked his tail, a deep rumble coming from his chest. Frost spoke again, "Blackwind.. It's time for patrol."
At this, Blackwind was a little taken aback. Patrol? But... Frost was... Frost... "Blackwind! Get up, you bum! We're going on patrol!" Smogpelt's voice spoke through Frost's form. He suddenly sat up, eyes wide. He was met with an impatient looking Smogpelt, and an intrigued Stormpelt. Blackwind exhaled, "Sorry, Smogpelt.." Smogpelt lashed her tail, "Now come on. I want to get this done and over with so I can eat." Blackwind stood, not bothering to clean up his fur. He followed the two grey she-cats, tail flicking gently. He glanced around. Did Frost happen to be an actual cat? Or, was she just his imagination? Stormpelt smirked softly, "So, Blackwind, what were you dreaming about?" Blackwind flicked an ear, quickly coming up with a lie, "Mice."
"Mice?" Stormpelt blinked at him. Smogpelt groaned, "Don't mention food, please. I'm starving!" Blackwind nodded, then rolled his eyes at the dark grey furred she-cat. Smogpelt and food. He exhaled quietly, glancing around. He swore, a few times, actually, that he had seen Frost's pretty silver-white tabby pelt among the growth. But, he couldn't be sure. The black tom flicked his tail again, acknowledging Smogpelt as she said, "Well, time to go back. We patrolled and I want food." Stormpelt laughed slightly, glancing at Blackwind, "Coming?"
"Huh? Oh.. You guys go ahead.. I'm going to go to the river," Blackwind spoke, ears flicking. Smogpelt snorted, "Suit yourself." Stormpelt shrugged before following the other she-cat back towards camp. Blackwind turned his large frame towards the water before starting to the riverbed. His Lapis gaze scanned his surroundings, wanting to catch a glimpse of the beautiful cat that had been evading him the entire morning.
Once at the river, he settled his haunches on the solid mud, curling his tail around his paws. He watched the cool water, tail flicking. Was Frost even a real cat..? This was on his mind as he settled onto his stomach, tucking his front paws under his body. He closed his eyes gently, exhaling through his nose as he lowered his head.
After several moons of life, and Frost appearing more and more in his dreams, Blackwind was honestly falling head over tail for the silvery she-cat. He did hope that she was a real cat, and that they were, in fact, meeting over dreams. He stretched out in his nest, a rumble from his chest signifying he was content. He had been doing this the last moon or two and it was beginning to worry his siblings, mostly Rainfall and Lightfur. Today, was the day that they would confront him about this. Lightfur gently prodded him in the ribs, "Blackwind... Blackwind, get up.... We need to talk.." Blackwind flicked an ear, stirring. After a moment, he peeled open his blue eyes, looking to his three siblings. Cloudear was sitting, watching while his two sisters were looming over him. Blackwind exhaled, "Yes?"
"Black, we really need to talk... What's been going on?" Rainfall spoke. Blackwind slowly sat up, starting to groom his pelt, "What do you mean?"
"I-We- mean... You've been sleeping. A lot. And it's really concerning us..." Lightfur glanced at her two siblings, then back to the Black tom. Blackwind flicked an ear, "Is that it? I've just been having really good dreams, is all."
"Black.... do you like them more than reality? Is something there that isn't here?" Rainfall pressed, worry clear in her blue gaze. Blackwind shifted before answering honestly, "Yes," at this, his siblings seemed a little taken aback but he continued, "It's a she-cat named Frost..."
"Ha! I knew it!" Stormpelt snorted, glancing at Smog, who pushed over tow mice. Oh, so those two bet? Blackwind flicked his tail. Rainfall lowered her head, "Black-"
A yowl from outside the Warriors' den cut the Medicine Cat off. Blackwind's siblings immediately bolted from the den, the large black tom following. Stormpelt and Smogpelt followed, Smog much more slowly. She really didn't look like she cared, much. Blackwind's Lapis gaze was met with a scene of worn out, bloody cats; including a hurt and worried Birdripple, a smirking Falconclaw and a silvery-white, red-stained she-cat between the two. Blackwind paused. That... that she-cat...
"Falconclaw! She needed help!" Birdripple mewed, ears flat and tail curled. Falconclaw spat, "She was a loner! A loner doesn't cooperate with clans!"
"She needed help!" Birdripple spoke again, though Blackwind was slowly padding towards the cat between the two fighting she-cats. He pinned his ears to his head, jaw slightly going slack as he slowly recognized Frost. Falconclaw snorted, "She got what she deserved, coming onto Clan territory!"
Birdripple finally noticed Blackwind and was a little surprised at the tom's current expression. It was one of grief and horror. He whispered, "Frost..." Falconclaw looked over and snapped, "What was that?"
"You..... You killed Frost!" Blackwind's gaze went to the red tabby she-cat. Falconclaw tilted her head, "What?" Blackwind looked back to the silver she-cat on the ground. He.. He had to be sure though. The black-tom peered at the fallen cat's face and almost cringed. He knew those eyes, anywhere... But they were lifeless; dead. Frost... His Frost was dead. All because of Falconclaw. Birdripple flattened her ears, "B-Bl-Blackwind... I-I tried..."
"I know...." Blackwind's normally strong voice was weak, and filled with a sorrow none other could reach. The black tom settled by the silver-tabby she-cat and pressed his muzzle unto his fur. She smelled like Lilac, as she always did. He laid his tail over her body, tears finally escaping from his optics.
With this scene, mostly everyone backed away and left the mourning tom with the cold she-cat. The few that stayed longer were his siblings, Lightfur and Rainfall giving him a lick on the head, Cloudear just flicking his tail.
Blackwind stayed with the she-cat, tail curled around her gently. He still saw her alive, and healthy and full of life... Those icey green eyes filled with determination and life... He stilled remembered her last sentence before waking up the morning....

But that wouldn't be happening now, would it?
